When my boyfriend proposed to me in April 2004,
we started booking the church and reception
venues, photographer, flowers, caterer, invitation,
bridal car and all other important details to
come up with an unforgettable wedding day.
Our big day was set for April
16, 2005.
For the entire year of 2004,
we managed to book most suppliers and coordinate
with them ourselves. We were sure that we could
go thru the wedding without need of a coordinator
(or so we thought).
The closer our wedding day becomes,
the harder it was for us to coordinate with
various suppliers and assign tasks to close
friends and family. I, most especially as a
detailed bride, became too stressed and even
pressured myself to accomplish everything with
my fiancé. We were both working, but
as much as we could, we personally attended
to our wedding details.
However, situations will arise
when it would be hard for us to coordinate with
suppliers. We cannot always go on leave from
work when most suppliers are available. We needed
help. Time is running short.
On January 2005, I began talking
to my fiancé about hiring a coordinator.
We then attended a bridal fair to interview
various coordinators. However, we found no connection
with any one.
When we attended a bridal fair
in SM Megamall looking for an invitation supplier,
we came across Kutchie Zaldarriaga, a wedding
coordinator. She started talking with me and
my fiancé about the services that she
offers. Only with Kutchie did we feel that sincerity
to assist us in planning our big day. We clicked!
Plus, she knew most of the suppliers we booked.
Right then and there, we made a downpayment.
Kutchie reviewed our accomplishments,
listed the things we needed to do and set up
a realistic timeline for us. My fiancé
and I then realized that we had so much more
to do. We lacked documentation with some of
our suppliers, and we needed additional suppliers
in other aspects of the wedding. She also offered
lots of suggestions that we have not thought
of before.
As the bride, Kutchie carried
my worries for me. I had someone to turn to
whenever I had concerns. She was very organized
and she consistently noted the requirements
that I relayed. I felt worry-free whenever we
would talk or when she would text me updates
about her planning. She was very supported of
us. She was very accommodating and made me feel
that I can open up anything. She offered a personalized
service.
It is really different if you
have a professional to advise for you. Yet,
our relationship was not limited to business,
she has also been a good friend. I feel like
I was at the right place and at the right time
when I met her. She made me a relaxed bride.
I could not think of anyone else to coordinate
my wedding with.
Kutchie and her team is one of
the reasons why our wedding day turned out to
be a dream come true.
